Single skin and cavity walls

Tell JobCalc whether you're building a single skin wall or a cavity wall, and the calculator handles each leaf separately. Bricks, blocks and mortar

JobCalc calculates the number of bricks and blocks based on standard UK dimensions and your chosen bond, then works out the mortar required to lay them. From the mortar volume it derives the cement and soft building sand you need, with sand rounded to sensible 0.1 tonne increments so your order matches how it's actually delivered.

Wall ties and DPC

A cavity wall needs wall ties at the correct spacing and a damp-proof course at the right length. JobCalc includes both in the material list, calculating the number of wall ties from the wall area and the DPC length, width and roll requirements so nothing gets forgotten on the order sheet.
